Spokane rebuilt much of its off-leash scene in 2024, so the fenced dog parks here are mostly new or renovated. The biggest is High Bridge (9.3 acres) near downtown, and the suburbs add Spokane Valley’s and the county’s parks out toward the Idaho line. One thing to know: despite the riverside settings at High Bridge and the Gateway park, there’s no official in-park dog swimming — the fenced off-leash areas don’t include water access, so the “High Bridge dog swim” you’ll see online isn’t a sanctioned thing. Plan for hot, dry summers (the dog fountains are shut off in winter) and cold, snowy winters. Here are the verified spots, with the rules that apply, each checked against the official source.
