Millie Bush Bark Park
Houston's most famous off-leash park, set inside the massive George Bush Park and run by Harris County Precinct 4. Two securely fenced sides (large and small dogs) each wrap around man-made ponds where dogs swim, with wooden ramps to help them in and out.
Park lot off Westheimer Pkwy, deep inside George Bush Park.
Good to know
Multiple real swim ponds with dog ramps — a genuine dog-swim destination; rinse at the on-site dog showers afterward, as pond water is unmonitored (algae/runoff after rain).
Gulf Coast heat and humidity are brutal May–September; come at dawn or dusk, bring water, and watch for overheating even though dogs can cool off in the ponds.
Double-gated entries on both sides; the park sits deep inside George Bush Park, so allow time to drive in from Westheimer Pkwy.
