Ervan Chew Park Dog Park
Houston's first neighborhood park to legally allow off-leash dogs (dedicated 2004), a compact double-gated, fully fenced dog zone in the heart of Montrose. Separate large- and small-dog areas with shade trees, benches and water stations beside the park's sprayground.
Small and urban (~9,000 sq ft) — great for inner-loop dogs but it gets crowded; no swim water, just drinking/water stations, so bring a bowl.
Gulf Coast heat/humidity: large shade trees help, but the small footprint means little airflow; visit early or late in summer.
Double-gated entry; City of Houston tag and leash-in-transition rules apply.
