The second official dog park in the City of Houston system, dedicated in 2004 inside Maxey Park on the east side. A fully fenced off-leash area with separate large- and small-dog sections, doggie showers, drinking fountains and shade trees.

Good to know
No swim pond here — water is limited to dog drinking fountains and cool-off showers, so bring your own bowl on hot days.
Gulf Coast heat and humidity: the shade trees help, but midday summer sun is intense; go at dawn or dusk.
City of Houston rules: visible registration/rabies tags required, leashed entering and exiting, off-leash only inside the fence.
