Off-leash beach · Belmont Shore · 5000 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803
Rosie's Dog Beach
LA County’s only legal off-leash ocean beach: a roughly 3-acre marked Dog Zone of open surf and sand in Belmont Shore. Dogs run leash-free in the water and on the sand between Granada and Roycroft Avenues.
Metered city lots and street parking off Ocean Blvd (fills early on warm weekends).
Good to know
Off-leash ONLY inside the signed Dog Zone (Granada Ave to Roycroft Ave) and ONLY during beach hours, 6 AM–8 PM — outside that, dogs must be leashed.
Dogs must be under voice control at all times; clean up after your dog (waste stations provided). The rest of the Long Beach shoreline is off-limits to dogs.
Unfenced ocean beach with open surf — mind tides and rip currents; rinse off the salt and sand before the drive home.
