Howe Community Park Dog Park (Howe 'Bout Arden)
Billed as the first dog park built in the greater Sacramento area, this fully fenced, grassy off-leash area at Howe Community Park has a separate small-dog pen and lots of shade trees. Managed by the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District.
Two fenced areas (big and small dogs) with grass, mature shade trees and a double-gated entry.
No on-site dog water fountain or waste bags per visitor reports — bring your own water and bags, critical in Central Valley summer heat (95°F+ common).
The park has a pond and a creek, but those are leashed-only — the off-leash area is the fenced dog park.
