Bear Creek Dog Park
El Paso County's flagship off-leash park and its single most-visited site (100,000+ visitors a year): a fully fenced 25 acres with a 1/3-mile stretch of Bear Creek where dogs wade and swim, a dog-wash station, an agility area, a 3/4-mile loop trail and a separate fenced 2-acre area for small and senior dogs.
Around 6,000 ft elevation; the dry, thin air dehydrates dogs fast, so use the on-site water and watch for overheating even on mild days.
Mountain weather flips quickly — afternoon storms and temperature drops are common, so check the sky before long visits.
Dogs must be 4+ months, current on shots and license; leash required in the parking lot until inside the fenced area.
